چکیده

The tools and processes available in a given shop greatly innuence the way in which manufacturers view a part and the way in which they decompose it into machinable volumes, or features. Likewise, a feature recognizer should be able to produce a diierent feature decomposition when diierent tools are available. Additionally, it should be easy for a user to add new tool descriptions to the system in order to maintain and customize the feature recognizer. We address this challenge in two parts. First, we present an extensible representation which allows users to easily add their own custom tool descriptions to a feature recognizer's knowledge base. Second, we present CUSTOM-CUT, a tool-based, resource-adaptive feature recognizer. CUSTOM-CUT accepts the user-deened cutting tools as input and automatically identiies the areas of the part that can be cut using the custom tools. We call CUSTOM-CUT resource-adaptive because the features it identiies will be diierent if it is given diierent cutting tools. The advantages of this is that it is easier for the user to maintain and customize and provides greater assurance that the features identiies are actually machinable with the given set of equipment.

ARMSim# is a simulator for the ARM architecture intended for use in both teaching and research. The simulator provides some standard features found in debuggers such as breakpoints, singlestep execution and watch-points. Its innovative features include support for software plug-ins which can implement external devices and new instructions. Such plug-ins can be used to prepare students for worki...

Customizable Notations for Software Design

ISF is a visual formalism for creating custom notations for high-level software design. In this paper we describe the formal semantics of ISF in Datalog. The semantics provides useful insight on how deduc-tive database technology can be used to generate tools to support our custom notations.

Human Robot Interaction using Dynamic Hand Gestures

This paper describes the implementation of a robust dynamic hand gesture recognizer using a depth sensor. The recognizer uses only depth image information, and the hand position provided by a hand tracker library, in order to construct its feature vectors. The recognizer builds two types of feature vectors to increase accuracy; the frame feature vectors that describe a static hand, and the sequ...

S XPipe 2: an architecture for surface preprocessing of raw corpora

This article introduces SXPipe 2, a modular and customizable chain aimed to apply to raw corpora a cascade of surface processing steps. Necessary preliminary step before parsing, they can be also used to prepare other tasks. Developed for French and for other languages, SXPipe 2 includes, among others, various named entities recognition modules in raw text, a sentence segmenter and tokenizer, a...

ON GENERAL FUZZY RECOGNIZERS

In this paper, we de ne the concepts of general fuzzy recognizer, language recognized by a general fuzzy recognizer, the accessible and the coac- cessible parts of a general fuzzy recognizer and the reversal of a general fuzzy recognizer. Then we obtain the relationships between them and construct a topology and some hypergroups on a general fuzzy recognizer.
